Course Tutors Susannah Borsch studied at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatorium with Walter van Hauwe. She has a particular interest in music for recorder and electronics, and has performed worldwide in groups with diverse instrumentation, and featuring visual and theatrical elements. Annabel Knight is one of the UK's best-known recorder and baroque flute players. She has performed, recorded and toured in Europe and the USA and is recorder tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire and London's Centre for Young Musicians. Louise Bradbury has performed and broadcast extensively, both as a solo artist and with ensembles including Passacaglia and Fontanella. She taught for several years at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Katriina Boosey is recorder tutor at Wells Cathedral School, and is an experienced soloist and chamber music artist. She has performed and recorded with many early music ensembles in the UK and her native Finland, and is active as a teacher and workshop leader. Andrew Robinson studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Philip Pickett and then had lessons with Peter Holtslag and Anneke Boeke. He writes regularly on historical and teaching issues for The Recorder Magazine and teaches at the Centre for Young Musicians in London. Rebecca Austen-Brown is amongst the UK's most respected interpreters of medieval repertoire. She has given concerts, radio broadcasts and workshops throughout the UK, Europe and America. Sarah Humphrys teaches recorder at Royal College of Music Junior Department. She has worked with many ensembles including Gabrieli Consort, Musicians of the Globe and Cantus Koln. Accompanists Arngeir Hauksson is one of the UK's busiest lute and baroque guitar players. He has recorded and performed with many leading ensembles including the New London Consort and Mediva. |
