This is the ideal opportunity to realise your full recorder playing potential, whether you are only just thinking about college or university or have already completed some postgraduate study. With a range of classes suited to all abilities, led by a world-class team of professionals, and supported by professional accompanists, we can offer you a tailor-made course of study. Within the perfect artistic environment Woodhouse has to offer, you will enjoy a warm and encouraging atmosphere in which to work and develop your skills.
Daily classes in technique and solo performance will be supplemented with talks, seminars, masterclasses with Dan Laurin, baroque chamber music, a historical dance workshop, and careers advice. See the Events & Activities page for more details.
Attainment levels and repertoire
To get the most out of the course, applicants should be playing at a level at least equivalent to Grade 8 of the main UK examinations boards or higher. Although there is no set repertoire on the course you should try to prepare three contrasting pieces, ready to perform and work on in class.
