Woodhouse Recorder Week offers an exciting range of afternoon and evening lectures, seminars and activities in addition to daily technique and repertoire classes. For 2010, these include:
  • Public masterclass with Dan Laurin

  • Memorisation workshop with James Risdon

  • Baroque Dance class with Philippa Waite

  • Harmony 101!: improve your ornamentation and interpretation with continuo expert Robin Bigwood

  • Specialist historical seminars, including Rhetoric in the music of JS Bach (Dan Laurin) and The Dolmetsch Legacy (Andrew Mayes)

  • Coached chamber music sessions

  • Regular student performance platforms throughout the week

  • Careers in Music forum

  • Electronics workshop

  • Lute and harpsichord demonstrations

  • Professional recitals by Dan Laurin, Annabel Knight, Fontanella Quintet and Piers Adams

  • Late night concert with electro-medieval-folk duo Wyrewood

  • Barn Dance!
